Catering Event Operations
In short: Catering Event Operations has no account, no adverts and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your phone and the app does not send it anywhere.
Who we are
Catering Event Operations is a free Android app presented at cateringeventops.sbs. For any question about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].
What the app stores
Only what you type or choose in the app:
- your events: name, type, status, an optional client or host name, date, start time, length of service, number of guests, service style, venue name, venue features and notes;
- menus and the dish library: dishes, ingredients, amounts, portion sizes and the prices you enter;
- shopping ticks, the arrival plan, equipment, packaging and transport lists, tasks with times and owners, checklists, budget forecasts and the costs you enter;
- up to 24 photos per event that you choose in the Android file picker, with captions, and your notes;
- app settings.
Names you type into the app (for example a client or a team member next to a task) stay in the app. The app does not ask for contact details, addresses of people or payment details.
Where it is stored
All of this is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. Photos are resized and copied into the app's private folder. We do not run servers for the app and we never receive your data.
What leaves your device
Nothing, unless you decide to share a file yourself. When you export a PDF (the event plan or the shopping list), a CSV list or a backup file, the app creates the file on your phone and hands it to the Android share sheet or saves it in a folder you pick. Where it goes next is your choice.
The app makes no network requests. Links on its About screen (this website, this policy and the e-mail address) open in your own browser or e-mail app.
Third parties
The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software and no social or cloud services. No data is sold or shared with anyone.
Permissions
The app does not ask for any permission while you use it. It does not use your location, camera, microphone or contacts. Photos and backup files are opened through the Android file picker, which gives the app access only to the file you choose. Some entries in the app's manifest come from the framework it is built with; they are not used to collect anything.
Notifications, purchases and adverts
There are none. Overdue and upcoming tasks are shown inside the app only.
Children
The app is a work tool for planning catering. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on the device until you delete it. You can delete single records in the app, delete everything in More → Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall the app, which removes its data from the device. Backup files and exports you have made are kept wherever you saved them and are under your control.
Your rights and requests
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. If you have a question or a privacy request, write to [email protected] and we will explain how to view or delete the data on your device.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
